The lodges sit just to the side of Rudyard village which has just one small shop. This is excellent for essentials such as milk, bread and eggs but lacks major meal making produce. A short drive away is the market  town of Leek which has several major supermarkets and local shops but it is best to come prepared for your first evening at least.

Both lodges have hot tubs 2 bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens and great views, Meadowview has a stunning log burning stove and ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom as well as a family shower room. Woodlands has an ensuite toilet in the master bedroom as well as a family shower room it is also all on one level for persons who have mobility issures, furthe of the 2 lodges Woodlands probably has a slightly more open  view (saves standing to see it) as the tub is set to the side of the lodge.

The lodges themselves are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, glassware and a range of implements for the home cook and staples such as salt and pepper and cooking oil. There is a selection of delivery menus and restaurant information.

Just a 5 minute walk away from the lodge you’ll find the Hotel Rudyard, which boasts a carvery every day which is  good value for money.  There’s also a very reasonable bar menu, and numerous draft beers for sale. A 40 min walk 7 min drive is  the market town of Leek which has numerous pubs and restaurants and small shops.
